“I cling to Your testimonies, O LORD; let me not be put to shame.”

“Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, and I will keep them to the end.”

“Do not forsake your friend or your father’s friend, and do not go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity; better a neighbor nearby than a brother far away.”

“Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.”

“And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you.”

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you.”

“Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray at all times and not lose heart:”

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer.”
