Doubting

“Surely you have instructed many, and have strengthened their feeble hands.”

“If I summoned Him and He answered me, I do not believe He would listen to my voice.”

“Therefore I am terrified in His presence; when I consider this, I fear Him.”

“I cry out to You for help, but You do not answer; when I stand up, You merely look at me.”

“You have ruthlessly turned on me; You oppose me with Your strong hand.”

“I cry out by day, O my God, but You do not answer, and by night, but I have no rest.”

“In my alarm I said, “I am cut off from Your sight!” But You heard my plea for mercy when I called to You for help.”

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him for the salvation of His presence.”
