Waiting

“Can the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies alone send showers? Is this not by You, O LORD our God? So we put our hope in You, for You have done all these things.”

“Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; all day long I wait for You.”

“All creatures look to You to give them their food in due season.”

“When You give it to them, they gather it up; when You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good things.”

“The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in season.”

“You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.”

“As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are on the LORD our God until He shows us mercy.”

“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in You.”
