“And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to distinguish between the day and the night, and let them be signs to mark the seasons and days and years.”

““This month is the beginning of months for you; it shall be the first month of your year.”

“And on your joyous occasions, your appointed feasts, and the beginning of each month, you are to blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to serve as a reminder for you before your God. I am the LORD your God.””

“At the beginning of every month, you are to present to the LORD a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all unblemished,”

“You are not to reap the aftergrowth of your harvest or gather the grapes of your untended vines. The land must have a year of complete rest.”

“If a man sells a house in a walled city, he retains his right of redemption until a full year after its sale; during that year it may be redeemed.”

“If it is not redeemed by the end of a full year, then the house in the walled city is permanently transferred to its buyer and his descendants. It is not to be released in the Jubilee.”
