Abda

Abda (meaning servant or servitude) is the name of two men in Scripture. (1.) The father of Adoniram, whom Solomon appointed over the forced labor levy (1 Kings 4:6). (2.) A Levite of the family of Jeduthun who settled in Jerusalem after the exile (Nehemiah 11:17), also identified as Obadiah in 1 Chronicles 9:16.
