Abdeel

Abdeel (meaning a vapor or a cloud of God) was the father of Shelemiah, one of the officials whom King Jehoiakim commanded to arrest the prophet Jeremiah and the scribe Baruch after the reading of Jeremiah's scroll (Jeremiah 36:26). The arrest was not carried out, as the LORD hid both men.
