Abel-meholah

Abel-meholah (meaning meadow of dancing) was a town in the tribe of Issachar, situated near Beth-shean in the fertile valley where the Wady el-Maleh opens into the Jordan valley. It is most notable as the birthplace and home of the prophet Elisha, where Elijah found him plowing with twelve yoke of oxen when called to prophetic service. The city is also mentioned in the account of Gideon's defeat of the Midianites, to whose territory the routed enemy fled.
