Name meaning: "an egg; muddy"
Abez (meaning tin or white) was a town in the northern part of the plain of Esdraelon, allotted to the tribe of Issachar (Joshua 19:20). It is tentatively identified with the ruins of el-Beida. Beyond its inclusion in the tribal allotment list, no further narrative mentions it.
