Abiezrite

An Abiezrite was a member of the clan descended from Abieezer of Manasseh. The family was based at Ophrah, and it was to the Abiezrite Joash that the angel of the LORD appeared when he commissioned Joash's son Gideon to deliver Israel from Midian (Judges 6:11). Gideon is repeatedly identified as an Abiezrite (Judges 6:24; 8:32), associating the clan with Israel's deliverance in that period of the judges.
