Abihud

Abihud (meaning father of renown) is the name of two persons: (1.) A son of Bela the firstborn of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 8:3), also called Ahihud in verse 7. (2.) A descendant of Zerubbabel who appears in the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:13 (as Abiud in the Greek) and in the parallel Lucan genealogy (Luke 3:26 as Juda). Both are brief genealogical references with no narrative detail.
