Abishua (meaning father of welfare or fortunate) is the name of two men in the Old Testament: (1.) A grandson of Benjamin through Bela (1 Chronicles 8:4). (2.) The son of Phinehas the high priest and grandson of Eleazar, making him the great-grandson of Aaron. He is listed in the high-priestly genealogy in 1 Chronicles 6:4–5 and in the priestly line of Ezra (Ezra 7:5).
