Adino the Eznite is named in 2 Samuel 23:8 as one of David's three chief mighty men, credited with slaying eight hundred men in a single engagement. The text as it stands in the Hebrew of Samuel is difficult, and many scholars believe the name and deed may have been displaced — the parallel passage in 1 Chronicles 11:11 names Jashobeam the Hachmonite as the man who lifted up his spear against three hundred men at one time, and the Septuagint and other ancient versions differ from the Masoretic text at this point.
