Anab

Anab (meaning grape-town or a grape) was a city in the hill country of Judah associated with the Anakim, the formidable inhabitants of Canaan. Joshua drove out the Anakim from the mountains of Judah including Hebron, Debir, and Anab, destroying them and their cities (Josh. 11:21). The site was later assigned to Judah (Josh. 15:50) and has been tentatively identified with Khirbet Anab es-Saghir or Anab el-Kebir, located about seven miles southwest of Hebron in the Judean highlands.
