Arkite

The Arkites were descendants of Canaan listed in the table of nations (Genesis 10:17; 1 Chronicles 1:15). They are associated with the ancient city of Arka (Irqata), a Phoenician settlement on the coast of Syria, north of Tripolis. They appear only in genealogical contexts and no narrative is associated with them.
