Asuppim

Asuppim (meaning gatherings or storehouses) was the name of the storage chambers or gatehouse at the southern entrance to the temple courts, used for housing materials and equipment related to temple worship (1 Chronicles 26:15, 17). The Revised Version renders it as storehouse. Nehemiah 12:25 mentions it in connection with the gatekeepers who guarded these storerooms after the return from exile.
