Camon

Camon (meaning his resurrection) was the burial place of Jair, the Gileadite judge who ruled Israel for twenty-two years and had thirty sons who rode on thirty donkeys (Judges 10:3–5). The location of Camon is uncertain; ancient tradition placed it in Gilead east of the Jordan, while some manuscripts and commentators identify it with Kammon in the region of Galilee or with Qamm near Irbid in modern Jordan. Beyond its mention as Jair's burial site, nothing further is recorded of the town.
