Chidon

Chidon (meaning a dart) was the name of the threshing-floor at which Uzzah was struck dead when he reached out to steady the ark of the covenant as the oxen pulling the cart stumbled (1 Chr. 13:9). The parallel account in 2 Samuel 6:6 names the same location Nachon or Nacon. David called the place Perez-uzza (the breaking out against Uzzah) in memory of the event, which halted the ark's procession to Jerusalem. The incident led to the ark being placed for three months in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite before its eventual successful transport to the city of David.
