Diblaim

Diblaim, whose name means cluster of figs, was the father of Gomer, the woman the prophet Hosea was commanded by God to take as his wife (Hos. 1:3). Beyond this single mention, no further information about Diblaim appears in Scripture. His daughter Gomer's marriage to Hosea—commanded as a living parable of Israel's faithlessness to the LORD—was one of the most theologically charged prophetic acts in the Old Testament, and Diblaim's only significance is this family connection: as the father of the woman whose marriage and repeated unfaithfulness served as the central prophetic symbol of the book of Hosea.
