Diblathaim

Diblathaim (meaning two cakes or double fig-cake) was a city of Moab east of the Dead Sea. It appears in the wilderness itinerary as Almon-diblathaim (Num. 33:46–47) and as Beth-diblathaim in the prophetic oracle against Moab (Jer. 48:22). The site lay on the Moabite plateau and is listed among the Moabite cities upon which Jeremiah pronounced divine judgment in connection with Babylon's destruction of the region.

Its precise location has not been confirmed archaeologically, though it may correspond to Khirbet Deleilat esh-Sherqiyeh in the eastern Moabite highlands northeast of the Dead Sea. The ISBE notes that the name's occurrence both in the wilderness itinerary and in Jeremiah's oracle links it to two distinct historical periods—the Exodus era and the late pre-exilic period—making it an identifiable landmark of Moabite geography.
