Ebronah

Ebronah (meaning passage over) is listed in Numbers 33:34–35 as one of the wilderness stations of the Israelites between Jotbathah and Ezion-gaber during their forty years of wandering. Its precise location has not been identified with certainty by modern archaeology, but the sequence places it in the Arabah region approaching the northeastern arm of the Red Sea (the Gulf of Aqaba). Ezion-gaber, the next station and a known location, helps narrow the probable area to the eastern Sinai peninsula or the Wadi Arabah.

Like many of the wilderness station names in Numbers 33, Ebronah is known only from this itinerary list and appears nowhere else in Scripture. The name's meaning (passage) may reflect a geographical feature — a ford, crossing point, or narrow passage through the terrain.
