Eglaim

Eglaim (meaning drops of the sea or two ponds) is a place name that appears in Isaiah 15:8 in the oracle against Moab: "The cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beer-elim." The site marked one of the boundary points for the spreading of Moab's lament in Isaiah's prophecy. It is sometimes identified with En-eglaim mentioned in Ezekiel 47:10, a location on the shore of the Dead Sea where fishermen would stand in the eschatological vision of the healing waters.

The exact location of Eglaim has not been definitively identified by modern archaeology, but both the Isaiah and Ezekiel contexts place it in the Moabite region east or southeast of the Dead Sea. Its significance in Scripture is solely as a geographic reference point within prophetic laments against Moab.
