A son of Ephraim who was killed in a cattle raid by the men of Gath while his father still lived (1 Chronicles 7:21). (3.) A Judahite from Hushah (1 Chronicles 4:4). (4.) A warrior from Gad who joined David at Ziklag (1 Chronicles 12:9). (5.) A son of Jeshua who helped repair the Jerusalem wall under Nehemiah (Nehemiah 3:19). (6.) A priest who participated in the dedication of Jerusalem's rebuilt walls under Nehemiah (Nehemiah 12:42). The name was evidently common in Israel's history.
