Ezri
Person Name
Name meaning: "my help"
Ezri (meaning my help) was a son of Chelub appointed by David as the overseer of those who worked the royal agricultural lands (1 Chronicles 27:26). He is listed among David's officials responsible for the produce of the fields, appearing in the catalog of the twelve monthly officers who administered the affairs of the king. Beyond this single verse, nothing further is recorded of Ezri in Scripture. His role as overseer of the royal farmlands reflects the elaborate administrative organization David established for the management of the Israelite kingdom, which Solomon would inherit and expand.
