Gittaim

Gittaim (meaning a double wine-press) was a town to which the Beerothites fled (2 Sam. 4:3) and which was resettled after the return from the Babylonian exile (Neh. 11:33). The Beerothites were Hivites who had originally deceived Israel into a covenant in Joshua's day; they fled to Gittaim and remained there as sojourners. The site's exact location is uncertain but may have been in the Shephelah or Benjamin.
