Gittite

A Gittite was an inhabitant of Gath, one of the five principal Philistine cities. The term appears most prominently in connection with David's loyal followers: Obed-edom the Gittite, in whose house the ark of the covenant rested for three months after Uzzah's death (2 Sam. 6:10–11), and Ittai the Gittite, a foreign commander who pledged absolute loyalty to David during Absalom's rebellion (2 Sam. 15:18–22). Goliath himself was also a Gittite. The loyalty of these foreign soldiers from Gath stands in notable contrast to those Israelites who abandoned David.
