Goath (meaning his touching; his roaring) was a location near Jerusalem mentioned in Jeremiah's prophecy of the city's restoration after exile: "And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath" (Jer. 31:39). The passage describes the future enlarged boundaries of Jerusalem encompassing areas previously outside the city walls. Goath has not been positively identified, and its exact location within the Jerusalem environs remains unknown.
