Hasenuah

Hasenuah (meaning bristling or hated) was a Benjaminite whose son Hodaviah is listed among those who settled in Jerusalem after the return from exile (1 Chronicles 9:7). The name appears in the genealogical records of Benjamin as part of the restoration community's effort to repopulate Jerusalem. Nehemiah 11:9 mentions a Judah son of Hasenuah as the second in charge of the city of Jerusalem, suggesting the family held a position of local administrative authority in the restored community.
