Hazo

Hazo (meaning vision or seeing) was one of the twelve sons of Nahor, Abraham's brother, born to him by his concubine Reumah (Genesis 22:22). The twelve sons of Nahor listed in Genesis 22:20–24 are presented as the ancestors of the Aramean peoples who inhabited the region of Paddan-aram and northern Mesopotamia. Hazo represents one of these Aramean tribal groups, though the specific territory or tribe his name designated has not been positively identified. The genealogy's purpose is to trace the kinship between Abraham's family and the broader Semitic population of the Fertile Crescent.
