Heldai

Heldai (meaning the world; rustiness) is the name of two men in the Old Testament. (1.) A commander of the twelfth monthly division of David's army (1 Chr. 27:15), also apparently called Heled and Heleb (2 Sam. 23:29; 1 Chr. 11:30), one of David's mighty men. (2.) One of the exiles who returned from Babylon bringing silver and gold, from whom Zechariah was commanded to make a crown for the high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak as a prophetic act pointing to the coming Branch (Zech. 6:10, 14, where he is also called Helem in verse 14).
