Helps

"Helps" (Greek antilēmpsis, literally "a laying hold of" or "supporting") appears in Paul's list of spiritual gifts and ministries in 1 Corinthians 12:28: "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues." The term likely refers to practical acts of assistance rendered to members of the community in need — charitable help, supportive care, or administrative service — rather than a specific miraculous endowment. The deacons' ministry described in Acts 6:1–6 may exemplify this kind of "helps" in its concrete form.
