Hena

Hena was a city mentioned by the Assyrian Rabshakeh in his boast to Hezekiah: "Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah?" (2 Kings 18:34; 19:13; Isa. 37:13). The rhetorical question listed cities the Assyrians had already conquered — implying that Jerusalem's God could not save the city any more than the gods of Hena had saved it. The location of Hena is uncertain; some identify it with Ana or Hit on the Euphrates. The passage emphasizes Sennacherib's contemptuous challenge to the LORD, which was answered by the angel's slaying of 185,000 Assyrian troops (2 Kings 19:35).
