Henoch
Name
Name meaning: "same as Enoch"
Henoch is a variant transliteration of the name Enoch, appearing in 1 Chronicles 1:3 in the genealogy from Adam through the pre-flood patriarchs. (Also appears as a son of Midian in Gen. 25:4 / 1 Chr. 1:33.) The primary Enoch (Gen. 5:18–24) was the seventh from Adam, father of Methuselah, who "walked with God" and was taken by God without dying — a unique testimony preserved as a model of faith in Hebrews 11:5. The name is rendered Henoch in some older English traditions following the Latin Vulgate.
