Herodion

Herodion (meaning the song of Juno, or simply a name related to Herod) was a Roman Christian whom Paul greets in Romans 16:11 and identifies as "my kinsman" — likely a fellow Jew, as Paul uses syngenēs (kinsman) for Jewish believers. Whether "kinsman" means a blood relative or a fellow Israelite, the term expresses special closeness. Herodion's name suggests a connection to the Herodian household, and Paul mentions greetings to those "of the household of Narcissus" in the same passage — household names often indicate slaves or freedmen of prominent Roman families.
