Jaalam

Jaalam (meaning hidden; young man; heir) was the second son of Esau by Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah (Gen. 36:5, 14, 18; 1 Chr. 1:35). He was one of the chiefs (dukes) who came out of Esau in the land of Edom. The Genesis 36 genealogy establishes the lineage of the Edomite clans who would be perpetual neighbors of Israel, and Jaalam is one of Edom's founding tribal ancestors. Nothing further is recorded about him.
