Jaasau

Jaasau (meaning doing; my doing) was one of the Israelites who had married foreign wives during the Babylonian exile period and was required by Ezra's reform to put away his foreign wife (Ezra 10:37). He is listed among the sons of Bani who responded to Ezra's call for covenant renewal and racial separation. The episode reflects the post-exilic concern for preserving the community's identity and covenant obligations.
