Jahzeel

Jahzeel (also Jahziel; meaning God hasteth; God divideth) was the firstborn son of Naphtali and ancestor of the Jahzeelite clan (Gen. 46:24; Num. 26:48; 1 Chr. 7:13). As one of the seventy who went down to Egypt with Jacob (Gen. 46:24), he was among the founding generation of the tribe of Naphtali. His descendants formed one of the principal clans of that tribe in the subsequent census registers.
