Janoah

Janoah (meaning resting; tarrying) appears in two contexts. (1.) A city on the northern border of Ephraim (Josh. 16:6–7), usually identified with modern Yanun southeast of Nablus. (2.) A town in Naphtali captured by the Assyrian king Tiglath-pileser III (also called Pul) in his campaigns against Israel during the reign of Pekah king of Israel (2 Kings 15:29). The Assyrian conquest of these northern territories was the beginning of the end for the northern kingdom, which fell completely in 722 B.C.
