Janum

Janum (meaning sleeping) was a town in the hill country of Judah, listed among the cities allotted to Judah in Joshua 15:53. It appears in the group of towns in the southern Judean highlands district alongside Aphekah and Humtah. The site has not been positively identified with any known modern location. It plays no further role in the biblical narrative beyond this allotment list.
