Jashub (meaning a returning; a controversy; a dwelling place) is the name of three men. (1.) The third son of Issachar (Num. 26:24; 1 Chr. 7:1), called Job in Genesis 46:13, and ancestor of the Jashubite clan. (2.) One of the sons of Bani who agreed to put away their foreign wives at Ezra's reform (Ezra 10:29). (3.) Jashub-lehem is also mentioned as a descendant of Shelah in 1 Chronicles 4:22, though this may be a place name rather than a personal name.
