Jecoliah
Name
Name meaning: "perfection, or power, of the Lord"
Jecoliah (also spelled Jecholiah; meaning perfection or power of the LORD) was the wife of King Amaziah of Judah and mother of King Uzziah (also called Azariah), who reigned for 52 years and was one of Judah's most prosperous kings (2 Kings 15:2; 2 Chr. 26:3). She was from Jerusalem. Her name, along with those of other queens mother in the Kings formula, represents the Deuteronomistic historian's practice of recording maternal lineage as part of the royal evaluation formula for each Judean king.
