Jehdeiah

Jehdeiah (meaning joy together or one Lord) is the name of two minor figures in the genealogical lists of Chronicles. The first was a Levite, a descendant of Shubael, appointed to serve in the post-Davidic organization of the Levitical courses (1 Chronicles 24:20). The second was the official appointed by David to oversee the royal donkeys — part of the administrative structure of the Davidic kingdom listed in 1 Chronicles 27 (1 Chronicles 27:30).

Both are minor figures whose significance lies primarily in their role within the larger administrative and cultic organization that David established for the sanctuary and the kingdom. The Chronicler's detailed preservation of such names reflects his interest in documenting the full breadth of Israel's service structure.
