Joahaz

Joahaz (meaning: apprehending; possessing; seeing) was the son of Joah and served as a recorder or secretary under King Josiah, assisting in the oversight of those who repaired the temple during Josiah's reform. The name is a shortened variant of Jehoahaz. He is mentioned only in the account of Josiah's temple restoration efforts recorded in 2 Chronicles.
