Joiakim

Joiakim was a high priest of Israel during the restoration period, son of Jeshua the first post-exilic high priest and father of Eliashib. He held the high priesthood during the time of Nehemiah's predecessor and is associated with the heads of the priestly families who served in his day. His name appears in the records of the Levitical courses and the priestly genealogy preserved in Nehemiah's memoirs.
