Jokmeam

Jokmeam (meaning: confirmation, or revenge, of the people) was a Levitical city assigned to the Kohathite clan from the tribe of Ephraim. It is also mentioned in a list of Solomon's administrative districts as a town in the fourth district. The site is associated with a location in the Jordan Valley and may be the same as Kibzaim mentioned in an earlier list of Levitical cities, though scholars debate the identification.
