Keziz

Keziz (or Emek-keziz, meaning abrupt or cut off) was a city in the tribal territory of Benjamin, listed in Joshua 18:21 among the towns of Benjamin's allotment in the first district nearest the Jordan. The name suggests a topographical feature—perhaps a steeply cut valley or a place defined by a sharp declivity or ravine in the landscape.

The city is mentioned only in this boundary and city list and receives no further treatment in the biblical narrative, making its precise location unknown. Benjamin's territory in the central hill country between Judah and Ephraim included several towns whose names are preserved only in Joshua's lists without subsequent historical development.
