Lasaea

Place

Lasaea was a small coastal city on the southern shore of Crete, mentioned in Acts 27:8 as lying near Fair Havens, where Paul's ship sheltered during his voyage to Rome. Its ruins have been identified near Cape Leonda, about five miles east of Fair Havens. The city features only in this single biblical reference; its mention anchors the geographical detail of Paul's storm-tossed voyage.
