Lebonah

Lebonah was a town near the road from Bethel to Shechem, mentioned in Judges 21:19 as a geographic landmark in the instructions given to the Benjaminite men who were to seize wives from among the daughters of Shiloh at the annual festival. Its location is generally identified with modern Lubban Sharqiyeh, roughly ten miles north of Bethel. The town's name derives from the Hebrew word for frankincense (lebonah), suggesting the area was associated with aromatic production or trade.
