Mallothi

Mallothi (meaning my fulness or fullness) was one of the fourteen sons of Heman the singer, appointed by David for the prophetic music ministry of the temple (1 Chronicles 25:4). Heman's sons prophesied with harps, lyres, and cymbals under their father's direction as part of the organized Levitical choral and instrumental worship David established for the sanctuary. By lot, Mallothi was assigned the nineteenth course of the twenty-four courses of temple musicians (1 Chronicles 25:26).

Beyond these two mentions in the temple music roster, Mallothi receives no further individual narrative. He represents one of the many named Levitical musicians whose family traditions of sacred song were formalized by David into the institutional worship of the Jerusalem temple and continued through the monarchy and into the Second Temple period.
