Maralah

Maralah (meaning trembling or ascension) was a place on the southern boundary of the tribe of Zebulun, mentioned in Joshua 19:11 as a landmark in the boundary description of Zebulun's territory. The border of Zebulun ran from Sarid westward, touching Maralah and reaching to Dabbesheth and the river opposite Jokneam. The precise location of Maralah has not been definitively established, though it lay in the Jezreel Valley region on the northern side of the Carmel ridge.

Like many of the boundary markers in the tribal allotment lists of Joshua, Maralah is preserved only as a geographic reference point in the administrative records of the land division. It receives no further narrative mention in the biblical text.
