Masrekah was a city in Edom, mentioned in the list of Edomite kings who ruled before any king reigned over Israel (Genesis 36:36; 1 Chronicles 1:47). It was the home of Samlah, one of the pre-Israelite kings of Edom. The name may be connected with the Hebrew word for a vine-garden or vine-dresser. Its precise location has not been firmly identified.
